The male chauvinistic Hindu society is highly possessive about the woman. The idea of a widow marrying another man is unthinkable. This idea is so deep rooted in their minds that they might not even believe that any religion on earth would allow that. This went too far in the good olden days of Hinduism itself. The possessive men have come out with extraordinary ideas to fulfill this desire. They started making the women believe that the relationship between a husband and his wife is not confined to this life (janma). They made them believe that the so called seven future reincarnations of her soul will see the same man as her husband! So the poor female can’t even think of marrying another man on earth! Leaving marriage aside, the male chauvinist has made some more tremendous arrangements to fulfill his mean desire.

2) Widow Life (Under preparation)
3) Nigama (Under preparation)
The pitiable woman who has just lost her husband and must be in deep grief. She is motivated to develop aversion towards this world and life without her lost husband. She is told myths and fables. She is made to believe in the prestige that she is going to earn by doing the ‘Magic Act’, which is going to win great rewards for herself and her husband. Finally, she is made to do it! The name of the act is SATI. Literally meaning, an admirable wife. The actual term is ‘Sati Saha Gamanam’. Literally meaning, ‘the company of the wife’ (with the husband into the funeral pyre). The Hindu Nationalist Parties have created so much hype about this, that there is a very high reverence given to any woman dying in this manner. There is a big temple constructed in Rajasthan by the name ‘Sati Maa Ki Mandir’ meaning, the temple of the mother Sati.
